blOKes student ambassadors to take on Ironman challenge

Durham University student ambassadors Ollie Strudwick, Tom Fitzgerald, and Charlie Yau will be completing one leg each of an Ironman challenge this summer to raise money for blOKes.

The trio has said that, not only do they hope to hit their £2,000 fundraising target, but also want to use their collective platforms to encourage more men to open up about their mental health health and talk about their struggles.

Tom Home, Founder of blOKes, said: “I can’t thank Ollie, Tom, and Charlie enough for choosing to take on this challenge to raise money for blOKes. Within their capacities as student ambassadors, all three have continually supported blOKes through both fundraising activities and raising awareness across the university, which has led to upwards of £2,000 being donated to blOKes throughout the year, as well as beer mats and coasters being distributed to several of the university’s colleges and eateries.”
